Continuing our mission to strengthen the hi-rel microelectronics supply chain, we are excited to announce the modernization of our diode foundry and manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico (less than 4 miles from the US border), offering system designers a reliable near-shore source for custom, standard, and QPL diodes and diode assemblies. Also, we’re excited to announce the latest addition to our SemiDice line card, Coherent, a leading supplier of SiC products. Modernization of Near-Shored 
Hi-Rel Diodes Foundry and Manufacturing Operations

November 20^th, 2024 - Micross will be celebrating the grand re-opening of the 70,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art high reliability diode manufacturing and foundry operations in January. The former Semtech facility was completely upgraded with the latest fab equipment, new infrastructure and cleanrooms, providing expanded capabilities for custom low-rate production as well as high volume full-rate production. Product types manufactured at this facility include Qualified Products List (QPL) and non-QPL rectifiers, transient voltage suppressors (TVS) and zener diodes in axial and surface-mount packages, all engineered for the harshest environments.

This paper presents the converter topology, control scheme design and methods for radiation hardening of the circuits. The achieved performance of the current source is demonstrated by measurements on the manufactured hardware.
